Over 90% of MAS Staff are CPAT’s (Certified Patient Account Technicians)
In addition, ongoing training for our staff is provided through various organizations (AAHAM, HFMA, Ingenix) and online training sites such as MedLearn.com.
Each staff member is required to attend, either online or in person, three (3) seminars a year covering all new HIPAA and billing regulations for all payors.
Training is fully paid for by Medical Account Solutions and each new employee is paid a bonus for becoming CPATs. All of the training provided to our employees includes training on The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
In order to become a CPAT, all collectors and billers are tested on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
